Prof. Zhang Jianguo and Professor Wang Liqiong participated in the 15th International Conference on New Trends in Energetic Materials Research organized by the Institute of Energetic Materials, Pardubice University from April 17-20, 2012. The theme of the conference was the teaching, scientific research, development, analysis and application of energetic materials; the explosion of gas phase, dispersed phase and condensed phase systems.

The conference was chaired by Professor Zeman, Director of the Institute of Energetic Materials at Pardubice University. The meeting established a Scientific Committee consisting of 24 experts. The conference received a total of 112 papers. 180 experts and scholars from 22 countries participated in the conference. Prof. Zhang Jianguo and Prof. Wang Liqiong of the State Key Laboratory of Explosive Science and Technology of Beijing Institute of Technology, respectively, made a paper entitled “A New Type of Tetrazenrene Structure. "The theoretical study of bisaminotetrazole polynuclear energetic compounds" and "Research on the relationship between emulsifying matrix rheological properties and stability". Another 66 papers were presented for research work. This was the second time that the State Key Laboratory of Explosive Science and Technology of Beijing Institute of Technology participated in this conference.

During the meeting, Prof. Zhang Jianguo and Professor Wang Liqiong also visited the laboratory of Prof. Zeman, chairman of the conference, and felt the special academic atmosphere of the laboratory. Prof. Zeman, chairman of the conference, is already 70 years old. His professionalism left a deep impression on the two teachers.
