"2015 International Symposium on Environmental Science and Technology" was successfully held in Chongqing on November 1-3, 2015. Vice President of China Association for Science and Technology, Prof. Feng Changgen from Beijing Institute of Technology, Academician Zhao Jincai from the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yuan Jiahu, Director of the Chongqing Institute of Green Intelligent Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was chaired by the research executive chairman Liu Hong. Also other experts present at the meeting included Prof. Jorge Gardea-Torresdey (Assistant Editor of Environmental Science & Technology), Prof. Dionysios Dionysiou, Prof. T. David Waite, Prof. Wonyong Choi, Prof. Timothy J. Strathmann, Prof. Andy Cundy, Prof. Virender K. Sharma, and Hyunook. Professor Kim, as well as Professors Cheng Shao'an, Ma Jun, Yan Bing, Wang Pingshan, Wang Chuanyi, Jia Jinping, Lin Biao, Li Fangbai, Wang Xiangke, Zhang Lizhi and other famous scientists. 120 representatives from China, the United States, Britain, Sweden, Australia, China Taiwan and other countries and regions attended the conference.
The 2015 International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology was jointly sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology and the Chongqing Institute of Green Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and co-organized by the Heavy Metal Pollution Prevention and Control Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences (affiliated with Beijing Institute of Technology), the Green Intelligent Technology of Chongqing, Chinese Academy of Sciences The institute, the State Key Laboratory of Explosive Science and Technology, and the Collaborative Innovation Center for Security and Protection contracted.
During the academic exchanges, 10 internationally renowned experts made academic reports for the conference, 14 experts made special reports on the conference rooms, and 16 representatives made oral reports.
The conference will further promote the development of environmental science and technology in China, expand academic exchanges between scholars at home and abroad, and improve the academic level. The "2013 International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology" is the 4th session of this thematic international conference. The first 3 sessions were held in 2007 (Beijing), 2009 (Shanghai), 2011 (Dongguan) and 2013 (Dalian), respectively. .
