Energetics Research Institute (EnRI), associated with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is involved in research on the science and technology of energetic materials. The institute started as High Energy Density Materials Laboratory with focus on the synthetic aspects of energetic materials in 2002. Further it was expanded to energetic materials research centre (EMRC) in 2005 and later to energetics research institute in 2010 with competencies on synthesis, characterization, modelling and simulation and performance assessment of energetic materials and energetic material composites. The institute is headed by Prof. Hng Huey Hoon and has a strength of 20 researchers. Today, Prof.Hng will start the presentation by providing introduction to EnRI, followed by Dr.Sreekumar Pisharath (senior research fellow) on experimental activities and Dr. Seng Yeow Sing (Research Fellow) on computational research at EnRI.
