个人简介

Ivan Bataev is currently an assistant professor since 2011. His research interest is materials science aspects of high speed and high energy phenomenon, including explosive welding, high-strain-rate deformation, laser and electron beam heating and multilayer composites. Prof. Ivan Bataev has published 39 scientific journal articles and conference papers. He has travelled and collaborated with many colleagues in Germany, France, UK and Japan.

报告摘要

High energy processing of materials surfaces is one of the fastest developing directions in surface engineering. Currently, multiple researches are carried out on laser and plasma coating of materials, selective laser melting and other technologies. High power electron accelerators can also be applied for processing of materials surfaces. However, typical electron beam facility can only be used to work with materials under vacuum. Recently a new generation of high-energy electron beam accelerators were developed, which allows injecting electron beam in air. In this lecture the Non-Vacuum Electron Beam (NVEB) processing of materials is presented. The application of NVEB to synthesize hard and corrosion resistance layers on materials surfaces is discussed. The advantages of NVEB, the selection of regimes and materials characterization results will be presented.
