Dr. Gao Wei is an associate professor in school of chemical machinery and safety engineering at Dalian University of Technology. He is also the JSPS research fellow of The University of Tokyo. He received his PhD in chemical system engineering from The University of Tokyo in 2013. He serves as the member of international organizing committees of International Symposium on Hazards, Prevention, and Mitigation of Industrial Explosions (ISHPMIE) and guest editor (Special Issue) of Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries. His research interests range from flame propagation mechanism during gas/dust explosions, blast wave from accidental gas/dust explosions to combustion theory of ammonia as a carbon-free fuel. He has authored or co-authored more than 40 papers in prestigious scientific journals.
